| The Pride Steel Band is in its seventh year. Our active members live throughout South Florida (Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade counties) and the Treasure Coast (Indian River County). We have performed in many locations, including the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Ft. Lauderdale Beach, Caribbean Pride, Celebrate Orgullo, Temple Emanu-El in South Beach, Pride of the Palm Beaches, and the EmKo Art Gallery in West Palm Beach. No previous music experience is required to participate so come be part of the FUN!The Pride Steel Band is in its sixth year. Become a member of the
South Florida Pride Steel Band!
WHO:
The South Florida Pride Steel Band is open to people who want to have fun making music, regardless of their musical experience or knowledge. Our musicians include experienced wind and percussion players who just started learning steel pans, as well as beginners without any musical experience.
WHAT:
We play on a collection of high quality, custom-made steel pans that include single leads/tenors, double seconds, triple cellos, and tenor basses. We also use electric bass, keyboard, drum set, and hand percussion instruments to set the groove.
WHEN:
Thursday: 7:00 - 9:30 pm - Full Rehearsal
*Please contact the Steel Drum Director to confirm there is rehearsal and so we can have an instrument available for you.
