The South Florida Pride Wind Ensemble is proud to continue the Youth Pride Band program! The is open to all high school band students in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties. The Youth Pride Band will work with a nationally-known band clinician and perform a concert with the South Florida Pride Wind Ensemble on Sunday, February 24th, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Amaturo Theatre at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
All interested students are required to submit an application online by December 15, 2012. Program applications will be available online by September 1, 2012. Once the application is submitted, the student will be sent a Parental Consent Form via email, which must be mailed to the South Florida Pride Wind Ensemble by December 30, 2012. Students will be notified of their acceptance to the program via email, and sent the music by December 30, 2012. We will also notify the students' schools and band directors.

Students participating in the Youth Pride Band of South Florida will be eligible for one of FIVE $1000 college scholarships. Recipients of the scholarships will be selected by the program leadership, and will be recognized during the concert on February 24, 2013.
Program requirements include submitting an application, attending all rehearsals, and performing with the Youth Pride Band as well as the South Florida Pride Wind Ensemble on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. The concert will be recorded (Audio and DVD). Rehearsals will occur February 10, 17, 23 and at St. Mark's Episcopal School in Ft. Lauderdale and on the concert day at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.
